Frequently asked questions

Which marketplace has the lowest fees in 2026?
For US sellers, Depop is usually cheapest (no selling commission, only 3.3% + $0.45 payment processing), followed by Mercari (10%) and Etsy (about 9.5% plus small fixed fees). eBay takes about 13.6% of the total including shipping and tax, and Poshmark takes 20% on sales of $15 or more — but Poshmark buyers pay for shipping.
Which platform makes me the most profit?
It depends on the price and shipping. Cheap items lose a lot to fixed fees ($2.95 on Poshmark, $0.45 on Depop, $0.25 + $0.20 on Etsy), while on expensive items percentage fees matter most. Use the comparison table above with your real numbers.
Are these fees for US sellers?
Yes. Fees are for US sellers and were last checked in October 2026. Marketplaces change fees often — always double-check on the platform before listing.
Do fees include shipping?
eBay, Etsy and Depop charge fees on the total the buyer pays, including shipping (eBay also on sales tax). Mercari and Poshmark charge on the item price.
